Lao Tseu est un homme d'origine chinoise ayant vécu entre le 6 ème siècle et le 5 ème siècle avant Jésus-Christ. Il est le fondateur du taoïsme et l'auteur du Livre de la Voie et de la Vertu appelé aussi Dao De Jing.
Il est souvent représenté comme un vieillard à la barbe blanche, parfois monté sur un buffle.
Lao Tseu is a man of Chinese origin having lived between 6 th century and 5 th century before Christ. He is the founder of the Taoism and the author of the Book of the Way and the Virtue called also Dao De Jing.
He is often represented as an old man with a white beard, sometimes elaborated on a buffalo.
